What is Ball Valve ?
A Ball valve is a valve that regulates the flow of fluids that flow through the industrial pipelines. This valve is named so because it has a ball shaped disc in its centre. This disc has hole right at middle point of the ball shaped disc. When the valve is closed the gap lines up with the ends of the valve letting the fluid to flow, whereas when the valve is shut down the hole misaligns with the ends of the valve thus the passage of flow of fluid is blocked.
There are diverse types of ball valves such as Alloy-20 Ball Valves, Duplex Steel Ball Valves, Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves, Hastelloy Ball Valves and High Pressure Ball Valves etc.
